Week 26 Update

How far along? 26 weeks today!

Size of baby? Head of lettuce {looks like iceberg in the picture}. To give a more accurate picture, I can report that she was almost 2 lbs at our 25 week appointment.

Baby Development This Week: Breathing amniotic fluid, may jump in utero if startled, hears not only my voice but those of people around me.

Total weight gain/loss: I have been gaining weight in spurts...and then not gaining at all for 2-3 weeks. Baby girl and I had a big growth spurt last week adding on 3 lbs. Right now we're sitting at ~16 lbs total.

Maternity clothes? Mostly wearing my black yoga pants {even my non-maternity yoga pants are still comfy} and long tees from Target {will highlight these in my upcoming maternity style TOPS post} since I really don't go anywhere very often.

Stretch marks? None. That I see. Hoping it stays that way!

Sleep: Sleep and I are officially at war now that all I do is lie around all day. This past week my shoulders have been cramping up so bad that I was unable to lie on my left side for 3 days. My sweet husband spent time each night working out my trigger points and last night I was able to sleep on my left again! Unfortunately, I've now overdone the right and we're repeating the process on that side.

Best moment this week: Reaching 26 weeks! In case something drastically changed and I went into pre-term labor baby girl has a really good chance of surviving at this point. I'm so thankful for every day she stays put! Also, finally being allowed to be up multiple times a day and get rid of the orthostatic hypertension that was plaguing me.

Miss Anything? Frozen margaritas {husband makes a great one}, family beach trips.

Food cravings: Anything chocolate.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Coffee! This makes me so sad. I was still having my morning cup until about 2 weeks ago when I *almost* had it come back up {for the record, have not thrown up due to pregnancy YET}.

Symptoms: Shoulder pain and other muscular aches from lying on the sofa.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Mostly happy, feeling blessed that my likelihood of making it to full term is good, however I probably break down about it once a week. Let's be honest - bed rest is mentally tough.

How much are you showing? Everyone says I'm all belly. Definitely have a small kiddy basketball going.

Labor Signs: None this week! YAY!

Belly Button in or out? Still neutral - not in, not out.

Wedding rings on or off? On. Occasionally tight at night/morning, however still easy to get off most of the day.

Looking forward to: Having the finishing touches on the nursery complete, all the fabulous friends and family who have/are planning to visit.
