Week 31 Update

How far along? 31 weeks. Wow the weeks have started to fly by a little bit. {ok I admit - I cheated with this photo. It's a few hours shy of 31 weeks. Close enough.}

Bedrest Update: After another good appointment yesterday {which I thankfully got in even though a dear friend was in labor and the midwife had to leave soon after my appointment was over...so exciting!} they have decided to let me "travel" as long as I am 1-not driving and lying horizontal, and 2-continue my "up for only 1-2 hours at a time and if symptom free" when I get there, and 3-be going somewhere with a NICU nearby {like really close} just in case. Some freedom!

Size of baby? Coconut.

Baby Development This Week: Turning her head side to side, gaining baby fat on all her extremities. Moving like crazy!!! I hadn't had many Braxton Hicks contractions the past few weeks but they definitely have increased this week.

Total weight gain/loss: ~22 lbs.

Maternity clothes? I managed to wear 3 maxi dresses on 3 different occasions this week {see recap post HERE}

Stretch marks? Still none.

Sleep: I seem to require a ton of sleep when she's going through her growth spurts - almost slept 12 hours one night and only got up 3 times. However, last night I was just miserable. Hot. Uncomfortable. Miserable. Once again, there are good and bad nights.

Best pregnancy moment this week: How can I pick? Anniversary, baby shower, church...supportive friends and family. I'm so blessed!

Miss Anything? This week I've had the urger to start working out again {complete no-no and have not been doing}. I'm not even allowed to take walks right now. However, I am looking forward to getting back to exercising once permitted after the baby arrives!

Food cravings: Fruit! And I didn't have much around the house so I was really thankful to find fruit salad at my baby shower.

Anything making you queasy or sick: I've picked up some very short but intense bouts of nausea lately. Apparently this happens in the third trimester. Luckily, I don't throw up and they go away in a couple of minutes.

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks and restless legs {oh my goodness these legs do not help with the sleeping}.

Happy or Moody most of the time: This has been a joyful week and I'm still celebrating. Thankful that full term continues to look like a real possibility and that baby girl is doing so well.

Labor Signs: None.

Belly Button in or out? Officially out. Midwife says it will go back in after the baby. Phew. Very weird after always being an innie.

Wedding rings on or off? Still on but continuing my daily checks as I am having finger swelling. The compression socks seems to be working very well for my feet. My ankles are just as crazy twig skinny as they were before pregnancy.

Looking forward to: Taking advantage of my new permission to "travel" and working on the Roman Shade for the nursery {my fabric came in yesterday}.
