Week 32 Update

How far along? 32 weeks! This was my next major milestone that I wanted to achieve with regards to baby development. I think it's reasonable now to set our sights on hoping to achieve 37 weeks {full term, but of course I'd love to go 40}.

Size of baby? Squash.

Baby Development This Week: She is now sporting toenails, fingernails, and real hair. Her skin is also smoothing out as she plumps up.

Total weight gain/loss: 23 lbs.

Stretch marks? Nope nope nope.

Sleep: My weight gain has evened out to about 1-2 lbs/week which is normal for this stage. I still feel like I sleep better though when she's growing. I guess growing a human can be exhausting.

Best pregnancy moment this week: Traveling on {modified} bed rest. Check out my post about it here and pictures here

Miss Anything? Being able to be upright {even just sitting} for more than 2 hours at a time. My 1-2 hour window is starting to feel small. I'm also curious how drastic it will feel to go back to work and be vertical for 5 hours straight on my first day off bed rest. I still have 4 weeks to think about that one.

Food cravings: Ginger ale. Strange. I don't drink a lot of soda but I've had 2 in the last week. For me that is a lot.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing really. I still don't want to eat a romaine salad but I did partake in a delicious kale salad made by my sister-in-laws.

Symptoms:  I had some pain yesterday that I hadn't felt in 9 weeks when all of this started. Thankfully, it came and went quickly and I didn't have to go in to the midwives. I'm also having Braxton Hick's almost every time I move or change positions, even just rolling over in bed. Anyone else experience this???

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy - vacation and celebrating 32 weeks will do a lot for your spirits.

How much are you showing? By 32 weeks this question is kind of silly - a lot! So I think this question is now formally discontinued.

Labor Signs: A lot of Braxton Hick's but no true labor signs.

Belly Button in or out? Out and not changing till after little lady comes. Question discontinued as well!

Wedding rings on or off? Still on. Luckily, the hand swelling seems to have stabilized at "just enough for those rings to be pretty tight but still come off".

Looking forward to: College football starts tomorrow!!! Hanging the curtains {which are finally finished!} in the nursery this afternoon. Organizing/getting a little nesting on in preparation for our little girl. I do want to be prepared just in case she still decides to make an early arrival.
