34 Week Update

I'm sure at least one person is wondering why this post is coming at 6 PM.
It's been an interesting day...{see Symptoms/Labor Signs}.
Looking a little rough in the picture since it was taken spur of the moment, but if you compare to last week's photo I definitely think she has dropped lower!

How far along? 34 weeks

Size of baby? Cantaloupe.

Baby Development This Week: Putting on the baby fat! Also, as my app says, "If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies." Another celebration!

Total weight gain/loss: 25 lbs.

Stretch marks? None.

Sleep: Pretty awful from 2-4 AM {preparing for nighttime feedings???}.

Best pregnancy moment this week: Reuniting with friends at community group and anticipating being off bed rest in 2 weeks!

Miss Anything? Easily getting up/down off the sofa and in/out bed. It's difficult and uncomfortable every single time

Food cravings: Bran muffins, pears, in general. I think now that she has dropped into the birth canal my stomach has more room and I'm actually hungry between meals.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week.

Symptoms/Labor Signs: I'm pretty sure the little lady dropped even farther down last night. I was up miserable and uncomfortable. There is now constant pressure where you don't want to feel pressure - even when lying down {a first}.
Update: Eventually I went in to see an MD this afternoon. Nice guy stuck around till I came in. Turns out I'm 1 cm dilated already! At least this is some explanation for what I've been feeling the past 24 hours. Waiting on my fetal fibronectin test results to determine plan of action. Hoping it's negative! which would mean <99.2% chance of going into labor in the next 2 weeks. Either way...trying to look at the bright side which is we're 1 cm down and only 9 to go whenever little lady decides it's time to come.

Looking forward to: 2 weeks left of {modified} bed rest and then I'm giving going back to work {for very short shifts} a try! Assuming she doesn't appear before then...
