38 Week Update

How far along? 38 weeks - I cannot believe I'm even writing a "38 week update". So excited!

Size of baby? Pumpkin {how appropriate}

Bed Rest Update: No longer an issue! It is so nice to be out and about without checking the time constantly.

Baby Development This Week: She is about the size of her birth weight. While all her organs are functioning and ready for delivery, there is evidence that the brain continues to develop until 39 weeks. Guess that's the last thing she's working on!

Total weight gain/loss: 32 lbs.

Stretch marks? None.

Sleep: I keep waking up from about 2-4 each night with contractions. They never amount to anything interesting but are strong enough to get my attention and prevent me from sleeping.

Best pregnancy moment this week: Managed to get in my work hours and spending time anticipating this little lady.

Miss Anything? Working out and an occasional glass of wine at night.

Food cravings: Still throwing back the strawberry smoothies with coconut milk and greek yogurt every day at lunch. Chocolate craving still present but lessened slightly. Carbs and fruit still in full swing. I have been eating a lot of the bran muffins from the recipe I posted on Monday.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Having slight nausea the last 3 days which has led to a desire for carbs, however nothing in particular is causing it.

Symptoms/Labor Signs: Even more dilated/effaced at my appointment today. There is a little concern over my blood pressure but we will know more later. The good news is if we need to induce then my body is really ready! My contractions continue daily, however never get into the full swing of things. Little lady is just taking her good 'ole time. She's more patient than I am!

Looking forward to: Holding our little girl and giving her sweet kisses for the first time.
