Week 37 Update

How far along? 37 weeks - we made it to full term!

Size of baby? Swiss chard {what??}

Bed Rest Update: I've been free of {modified} bed rest for a week now. I made it back to work {see picture below} and still have not yet had the baby girl! I have been taking it pretty easy, but it was nice today to go run errands and not have to hurry/check the time every 5 minutes.

Baby Development This Week: Continuing to gain weight and her lung should be fully mature.

Total weight gain/loss: 30 lbs.

Stretch marks? None.

Sleep: Has improved dramatically the past week {maybe my body trying to catch up before she arrives?}. Mostly sleeping about 7-8 hours a night and going back to sleep pretty quickly after the ridiculous number of bathroom breaks.

Best pregnancy moment this week: Making it to full term! And I really enjoyed going back to work and seeing everyone and patients {see purple scrubs to the right!}

Miss Anything? Working out and an occasional glass of wine at night.

Food cravings: Carbs, fruit, chocolate, smoothies.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing.

Symptoms/Labor Signs: Continuing to dilate/efface. Having some contractions almost every day {I call it "saran wrapping" the baby because that's what it looks like!} Midwife says it could be any day now or she may decide to fool us all and stay put. With all my pre-labor symptoms I really think it will be sooner rather than later but as my husband says "nothing has been normal" about this pregnancy. I always seem to be the medical exception. Great.

Looking forward to: Meeting our girl and introducing her to the family.
